Primary references tag
[edit]After exploring the Wikipedia pages that apply to references and sources, I am puzzled why Terraxos added a "primary references" tag. An article about a (supporting) comic book character is bound to cite comic books in the main. I just can't see how only citing comic book issues in which this character appears violates Wikipedia policies, provided one sticks to factual content in the text of the article and doesn't add his/her own interpretations. There simply are no third-party references to Chris Kent, a character barely 15 months old. Terraxos (or anyone else), would you like to offer an explanation? Spiderboy12 (talk) 01:47, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
- In order to show the notability of this character, there needs to be information (reviews, creator comments, impact, etc.) about him published in reliable third party sources and that info needs to be incorporated into the article. The comic books themselves are considered Wikipedia:Primary sources, hence the tag. It should have a Notability tag also, but I think that's implied in the Primary Sources one. - My apologies. I should have resurrected the "primary sources" tag after your comment. This is a page I'd like to devote some time to improving (if possible), though my preference is to wait until the long-delayed Action Comics Annual #11 comes out. I'm not exactly certain where I'd get the reliable third-party references for such a relatively recent supporting character. The notability issue might end up being paramount; Chris might be better left to listings on Superman's "supporting characters" pages, at least for now.Spiderboy12 (talk) 03:02, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Speculation?
[edit]The Action Comics Annual paragraph seems to be pure speculation. Very confusing. Lots42 (talk) 07:20, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Name
[edit]His name is Lor- Zod NOT CHRIS KENT —Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.49.42.137 (talk) 15:00, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
- <shrug> That depends who you ask. He certainly seems to prefer being Chris Kent. I think it's the policy of the wiki to go by "commonly used name", which would be Chris, just as, if Superman wasn't better known by his superhero identity, he'd be under Clark Kent, not Kal-El. 92.8.216.115 (talk) 00:29, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
Lor-Zod his Kryptonian Name, and Chris Kent is his human identity. As Kal-El is to Clark Kent. How come there is no mention his name comes from the late Christopher Reeve, who played Superman in the Superman film franchise, the first of which Richard Donner directed. Donner confirmed on many occasions that it was intended to be a tribute to Reeve. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.192.110.147 (talk) 16:35, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
Bot report : Found duplicate references !
[edit]In the last revision I edited, I found duplicate named references, i.e. references sharing the same name, but not having the same content. Please check them, as I am not able to fix them automatically :)

Tactile Telekinesis
[edit]Nightwing used this before we learnt he was Chris. Granted, this was a red herring to make people think it was Conner Kent, but it was there. So should it be added to his list of powers? 92.8.216.115 (talk) 00:29, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
"Real name" in box
[edit]Could somebody space out his two monikers? I checked the setup to edit something else and I couldn't see any indicator of both names together...
Val-Zod
[edit]Shouldn't this go under alternate appearance/similar characters? One character exists in the pre-flashpoint world as the son General Zod, while the other exists in the post Flashpoint Earth 2 continuity and has a divergent origin. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.26.125.2 (talk) 02:09, 28 December 2014 (UTC)
Hernan Guerra
[edit]I'm not sure why Hernan Guerra is considered an alternate version of Lor-Zod/ Chris Kent. They have different biological mothers, different upbringings, different foster parents, different personalities, and different ages. Do they even have the same Kryptonian name? Does Hernan have a Kryptonian name? All the two characters share is a biological father.62.150.121.250 (talk) 18:37, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
Rename
[edit]I propose that this character to Lor-Zod for a few reasons. a. It his real name. b. Since the Chris Kent identity no longer exists in the current comics it is a fine time to move. c. To make it less confusing due to the current changes with the character. -2601:1C2:4E00:BB1:62F6:77FF:FE0F:CB7 (talk) 04:31, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
